Tint Beauty Bar Owner

Caity has been in the beauty industry for ten years. She first started out as a salon receptionist, then attended Blanche Macdonald Pro Hair Program in 2010.

Graduating in 2011, she started with a local salon doing cut & colour as well as styling hair for models on the runway for Vancouver Fashion Week for multiple years. She then advanced to co-lead hairstylist of the team of 20+ backstage hairstylists while building her freelance wedding hair and makeup business.

Teaching the Makeup & Shears certification program at the alternative high school program in Maple Ridge has been a weekly staple in her schedule for the past two years.

Now, Tint Beauty Bar is a dream come true thanks to Sharon Hampton and the team at what was previously Hair 2001, a staple in Maple Ridge for 38 years in this location.

Regular education and advanced colour, cut, and styling classes is a passion that Caity strives to supply for all stylists at this salon.

My name is Sammy, I’m quite new to the industry, some of my favourite services are funky colours and styling. The reason I wanted to become a hairstylist is to make people feel beautiful and confident. In the future, I would really like to get into extensions and colour correction. I plan to continue education on anything I can get my hands on and look forward to learning more and more about this industry.

Stylist Apprentice

Shannon graduated from the John Casablancas Institute and plans to continue her education to further her skills. She decided hair school was what she wanted to do for a career in high school, where she loved helping and doing friends hair and seeing how happy she could make them.⁣
